Ruling House: House Grawyn
Springcastle, the stronghold of House Grawyn, is oft commented upon by those thinking themselves clever as being something of an overstatement. Rather than an actual castle it is instead a Great Hall at the center of a walled, charming river town and gains its name more for its mild seasons and the bright flowers that seem to bloom everywherein the appropriate season. However, for such a small house with such small lands – it suits them just fine: better to have a small holding in perfect condition than a large one kept in an unseemly fashion.
Much like a garden, so too has the town within the walls of Springcastle been cultivated for beauty… if not for true use. Only farmers live outside of Springcastle in any true number and their plots have been carefully organized over time to create a wonderful pastoral image for nobles passing through one of the land’s well maintained roads. It is even rumored that a High Artisan is informed before any building projects go underway in order to maintain the look of the land.
